Thinking about buying a new car this year? Thanks to Governor John Kasich raising our sales tax, you’ll be paying more for everything you buy.
Costs are increasing on products across the state. Something as small as a fast food meal, or something as big as a new car, will cost more.
Gov. Kasich is making the American Dream harder to get by increasing out-of-pocket costs on future local tax levies by 12.5%, too. Even seniors are getting the shaft, as the homestead exemption on property taxes is eliminated in the future for those that would have otherwise qualified but make more than $30,000 a year.
These extra dollars out of your pocket will add up all year, washing away the mere $9 Gov. Kasich granted to the average middle class person.
To make matters worse, the wealthiest Ohioans will get a $6,000 tax credit.
